When you think of country music, do you think of Tim McGraw?  Maybe not, but to a whole generation, Tim McGraw represents quintessential millennial country music.  By the way, don’t like Tim McGraw’s music?  Then try his acting - go watch the Yellowstone prequel 1883. Tim McGraw's acting is fucking out of this world. I didn't even "see" Tim, I saw the patriarch of the Dutton empire. He's that good.

Have you ever danced in a storm with your best dress on?  No?  Well, if you’re gonna do it, do it without any fear of ruining your dress or getting struck by lighting.  Fact is, a dress can be cleaned and if you’re hit by lighting, you probably wont even know it - cuz you’ll be dead!

Speaking of dresses, there’s nothing better than standing is nice dress and staring at the sunset.  I mean, I don’t wear dresses, but if I did, I’d totally just stand there, in some sweet feckin' heals, staring at the sunset.  Well not directly at it cuz that would be silly - but staring like off to the side of it, but if you were looking at me, you’d think I’m staring at it.  Perspective is everything.

As you read this, you’re probably thinking “what’s the endgame with this stupid fucking post?”

Well, I think I’ve shaped the body of this post enough.  It would be crueler than a cruel summer if I continued with these witty puns derived from Taylor Swift lyrics.  And let’s be clear, I could totally construct an entire essay without once mentioning the name Taylor Swift, instead only referencing every single song in her catalogue - because she’s that fucking good at writing songs, composing music, playing instruments, marketing her shit, entertaining audiences, running an empire, and from my perspective - she seems like a decent person.

Okay, I get it you hate country music.  But what about folk music?  Do you like pop music?  Don’t like any of that?  Then what about electric dance music?  Lots of her stuff gets mixed and released in that genre.

Okay, you just don’t like her music.

Fine.  But do you appreciate hard work and perseverance in a cut-throat industry?  Oh, you do?  But you think cuz Taylor’s daddy was a stockbroker, she somehow had that silver spoon scooping obstacles out of her way.

Okay, you don’t like her music and you think that she’s had her success “handed” to her.

Fine, don’t you think its super cool that she’s grossed more money in music then just about anybody and she donates a shit-ton of money to children’s hospitals, education stuff for kids, and Red Cross stuff, and even just shows up to the life events of some of her biggest fans?  Not to mention the personal attention and money that she gives to everyone that works for her.

Okay, you don’t like her music, her success, and she doesn’t donate enough of her billions - lots of celebrity’s donate money - so she’s not so special.

I get it, you’re super judgmental.

But can’t you find just a bit appreciation for how she continues to evolve an artist?  And as a person?  She crosses genres, she brilliantly puts new spins on her art work - she builds entire worlds around her albums.  To top it off, she shares her personal life events with the world - sure she writes her music about her relationships and experiences, but isn’t that important?  Having someone put something out there is important - perhaps a shy, quiet, or reserved person that doesn’t know how to express themselves, finds the courage to do so through Taylor's courage.

Okay, I get it.  Her music isn’t your cup of tea, you’re not convinced she hasn’t really earned her fame and fortune, she’s got so much money that she should be giving it all to people like you, and you’re not into any of that business or personal “growth shit.”

Ughhh, what about something simple like, ummm, just regular ole' physical fitness?  Taylor Swift has put on concerts that last in excess of three to four hours, while dancing and actually singing - night after night, over hundreds of times.  Gotta respect that physical capability - right?

Oh for fuck sake.  You’re impossible.  You hate Taylor Swift’s music, you hate that she’s rich and famous, you don’t appreciate her career, and you’re fat and lazy and so you hate that she’s the opposite of you.

Oh wait, I get it now.  You hate her politics.  So therefore you hate everything about her; you can’t find a single shred of value in anything about Taylor Swift.  It’s funny how fucking shitty we’ve become in this country.  I don’t necessarily agree with Taylor's politics, and I don't have to.  But that’s doesn’t mean I can’t admire and respect other elements of her as a human being.

Here’s the deal.  If you can’t look at the “thing” that is “Taylor Swift” and find anything to appreciate or respect, then you’re just a fucking sad person.  Really, get over yourself and your fucking bullshit.

Yeah, Taylor Swift could be a money-hungry, devil-worshiping, fucking bitch in real life.  But I don’t know her in real life.  Be cool if I did.  But I don’t.

And don’t give me any shit about Travis.  Just take it at face-value - isn’t it just nice to see two people so friggin' smitten with each other in this world?
